This is a good one to start of this list with – famous in Amsterdam. With their two stores at the Haarlemmerstraat, they are a fundamental store for Amsterdam’s fashion lovers. They have a broad selection of both high end and affordable clothing and accessories, for male and female shoppers.
They do not only have 4 stores in Amsterdam but they also have stores in other cities in the Netherlands. Their stores are always overloaded – with clothes and people – so don’t be afraid to leave the store empty handed. In their laid-back store at the Nine Streets, you have a very big chance at finding the best Levi’s jeans and bomber jackets. Just around the corner from the Red Light District, Time Machine Vintage can be found at the Nieuwe Hoogstraat. This is a store for both men and women, where they sell clothes and accessories from the seventies and eighties. At one of the We Are Vintage stores, in East or West, you can find anything, from clothing and accessories to furniture and colorful rugs. Despite the fact that you pay per kilo, everything is of very good quality. So compared to other vintage stores in Amsterdam, this one is perfect for the low-budget shoppers.
Thrift Shop is one of the newer ones from the list, and one of its kind for sure. This store is especially cool because it is a combination of a vintage store and concept store. In their store hidden at the famous Albert Cuyp market, they sell the nicest variety of clothes and accessories, from a big old t-shirt to a beautiful Hermès Kelly bag.
De IJhallen is the biggest flea market in Europe, sounds quite promising. Every first weekend of the month the IJhallen starts early in the mornign in the North of Amsterdam, the only thing you need to do is pay 5 euros entrance and then you find yourself between huge piles of clothing and accessories for small prices.
