Latest updates regarding COVID-19

Dear visitor,

The Coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) is developing very rapidly and is, unfortunately, having dramatic consequences for all of us. To keep you informed about the latest updates regarding this topic, we’ve created this dedicated webpage.

Please be aware of the fact that you’re still welcome to travel to the Netherlands as a tourist. However, we completely understand that there are multiple reasons for not being able or wanting to travel right now. We know you were looking forward to your holiday in Amsterdam so cancelling it must be very disappointing. It is safe to say that it is devastating for both parties that due to the Coronavirus cancellations have to be made.

Public areas in the Netherlands are temporarily closed
For now, hotels may remain open until further notice. However, the Dutch government has obliged all restaurants, bars and public spaces (over 100 people) to close their doors until at least April 6th. This means our own restaurants Bar Kantoor and Moer as well as our coffee bar Sticky Fingers are temporarily closed too. Sadly, cancelling our regular breakfast buffet is a requirement of the government as well. If you have booked breakfast, please know that you can pick up a freshly made breakfast box at the reception every morning.

The current situation at Conscious Hotels
As a relatively small hotel chain, we are very heavily affected by the restrictions put on the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, we are dealing with a huge challenge right now where we not only need to take care of our beloved guests but also need to take care of our employees. Nobody knows how long this unforeseen situation will last and, therefore, we are looking into different solutions to best help our guests. We hope that you understand we are trying our very best during an extreme situation we have not experienced before and keep reviewing it on a daily basis.

Due to the current situation, we have a high volume of guest inquiries. In order to process your questions and requests efficiently, we would like to ask you to please not call us but instead send us an email through mystay@conscioushotels.com. This uncertain and unpredictable time asks us to review requests per day. We hope you understand and would like to thank you for your patience.
