If you fancy a visit outside the city walls of Amsterdam, the Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse might be a good idea. Sounds familiar? The word tulip might give it away. Every spring, the 32 hectares of the Keukenhof turn all the colors of the rainbow as the tulips, hyacinths and daffodils start to blossom. In total, the premise caters to a whooping 7 million flowers, so plenty of possibilities to snap the most colorful pictures for your Instragram feed.
While discovering the Keukenhof by foot or bike, there’s enough space to perch somewhere for a picnic. Next to that, there are demonstrations, parades, workshops and even treasure hunts for the kids. Flowers with a bonus, so to say.
Oh, and this years theme is romance in flowers. In order to celebrate this, all sorts of activities are organized. Check out the official website for an overview (link: https://keukenhof.nl/en/)
