We’re proud to announce that we’re installing new CoffeeCycle machines for guests who want great-tasting coffee with zero carbon emissions. These ‘green machines’ combine disused barrista-style coffee machines and recycled children’s bikes from the 1990s. By pedaling furiously on the tiny bikes, guests can grind coffee beans, boil water and produce enough steam to froth milk.
A perfect espresso is ready to drink after pedaling at approximately 32.7 kph over a distance of only 4.333 km while a large delicious Caramel Macchiato takes just 8.12 kms of healthy cycling. Ask Reception for a CoffeeCycle map of Amsterdam showing the best routes to take. Caution: to avoid the ‘red light’ district, don’t order whipped cream.
