We were thinking about renting out jetpacks, but they aren’t the eco-friendliest things out there. We like to keep it conscious so here are some ways to get around in Amsterdam and the Netherlands.
The best way to get around is by bike. 10 out of 10 conscious points
It’s the biking capital for a reason, we love to bike here and it’s the best way to get around all the streets of Amsterdam. If you want to rent one check out our Roetz bikes.
Solar boats. 9 out of 10 conscious
These boats go through the canals of Amsterdam and give you an amazing view of the city and since they’re solar they don’t pollute the water. The boats are a great way of traveling until the canal freezes over.
Public transport. 7 out of 10 conscious points
Buses, trains, trams, metro, help you to get everywhere in the Netherlands. Public transport is better for the environment since moving a group of people produces less pollution that each person going by car. You can check the handy public transport website and maybe purchase a card at your host.
Car, taxi, uber 5 out of 10 conscious points
Not the best mode of transport if you’re trying to be conscious but some electric and hybrid cars are pretty good at not being bad of the environment such as the electric taxi , but they’re outnumbered. One day however the electric car will overthrow the gas car and reign supreme!
At the end of the day all the options above produce less pollution than a jetpack.
