Today (24 June 2015) the Hague District Court ruled in favor of the Urgenda Foundation and its nearly 900 co-plaintiffs, ordering the government to reduce its greenhouse gases by at least 25 percent (compared with 1990 levels) by the end of 2020.
The court's findings are extraordinary and could set precedent in cases around the world. For more info on the findings; please click here for an article in Huffington Post.
UPDATE (1 September 2015): The Dutch Government will appeal against this ruling! Read all about it HERE
